One of the main activities of the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia-Tajikistan (EFCA-Tajikistan) is to educate the state’s anti-corruption policy and improve the legal literacy of the population. In 2015, EFCA-Tajikistan signed a memorandum in cooperation with the representatives of agency for state financial control and combating corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan. Starting from 2019, EFCA - Tajikistan began working together with representatives of the agency for state financial control and combating corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan on anti-corruption education of the population and implementation of the Strategy on countering corruption in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2013-2020.
On January 17, 2019, a meeting was held in two Jamoats of the Fayzabad district, where the Deputy Chairman of the Fayzabad district - Nuriya Dzhunaydovna Rajabova, the head of the culture department, social issues and public relations of the Fayzabad district - Nurzoda Safarbek Parto, second deputy head of the agency for state financial control and combating corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan - Ikrom Nuralizoda, staff member of the above-mentioned Agency Ibodullozoda Arastullo, and Director of EFCA-Tajikistan - Azimzhon Sayfiddinov.
The meeting was attended by over 200 people, including the chairmen of jamoats, representatives of the local government body, representatives of the agency for state financial control and combating corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, Deputy Chairman of the Faizabad district and the Director of EFCA-Tajikistan on issues of anti-corruption policy of the state and public education on the implementation of the Strategy for countering corruption in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2013-2020. During the meeting, the participants asked questions on the above topics, which were answered by representatives of the Agency Director agency for state financial control and combating corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, EFCA-Tajikistan and the Deputy Chairman of the Faizabad district.
Speakers noted that in the Message of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Parliament of the Republic of Tajikistan on December 26, 2018, the issue of improving anti-corruption legislation was raised and these issues were discussed at the meeting, some suggestions were made by the participants to improve the current legislation on anti-corruption.
