Enlightenment of the state anti-corruption policy and improvement of the legal literacy of the population is one of the main areas of the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia - Tajikistan (EFCA-Tajikistan). In 2015, EFCA-Tajikistan signed a memorandum of cooperation in cooperation with the Agency for Public Financial Control and the Fight against Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan. Since January of this year, EFCA-Tajikistan has directly started its activities to improve the legal literacy of the population in the direction of education of the anti-corruption policy of the state and the implementation of the Strategy for countering corruption in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2013-2020.
Today, January 23, 2019, in the city of Vahdat RRP, a meeting of the working group was held, consisting of: the first deputy chairman of the city of Vahdat, Yatimzoda A.S., deputy head of the first department of the Main Department for the Prevention of Corruption of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, Major of Justice Tursunzoda Shodk Khudoymurod, and EFCA-Tajikistan Director A.A. Sayfiddinov, with residents of jamoats.
The message of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon Majlisi Oli, was discussed about the main directions of domestic and foreign policy for the coming year. Further, the chairman of the Agency for State Financial Control and the Fight against Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, Tursunzoda Sh. Kh., Informed those present about the current position of the agency regarding corruption actions, public awareness about preventing corruption cases, and about the readiness to provide assistance and support to civil society initiatives. In his speech, he noted the importance of working to prevent corruption cases, the interaction of the public sector with representatives of civil society and the public in the implementation of the Strategy for countering corruption in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2013-2020.
The meeting was attended by over 200 people, including chairmen of jamoats, representatives of the local government body, as well as students. Participants were free to ask their questions and get an answer from the representatives of the working group.
